Fun, innovative and inclusive dance.
Founded in January 2015, Dance Magic Dance began as a single 30-minute toddler ballet class in Streatham, with only one pupil. In just 4 short years we have bloomed into a family of over 160 pupils dancing in various styles over four locations across Brixton, Streatham and Norbury and we are constantly growing!
Disappointed by the lack of diversity in the performing arts, Principal, Amy Swarbrick, wanted to create a place where the magic of the performing arts was accessible to and of benefit for dancers from all walks of life. Dance Magic Dance came into being out of a desire to promote a holistic and inclusive praxis, enriching children's lives by encouraging their creativity and potential irrespective of factors that are traditional barriers to participation in the arts. Providing a fun learning experience and instilling a love of dance and the arts is at the heart of what we do.
Whether your little dancer is just stepping into their very first ballet shoes, or you're dusting off your old ones and returning to the barre we welcome dancers of all abilities. We teach and live by the ethos that the wonderful power of dance should be accessible, inclusive, and enjoyed by everyone.
Our purpose in our classes is to kindle imaginations, nurture creativity, and to support all aspiring dancers to reach their full potential.
